New District Productions exists to return power to the artist.
Who We Are
New District Productions was built with one goal in mind — to return power to the artist.
In a creative world where the industry machine rules all, with high-up studio executives deciding on our employment between their morning coffees, us artists often end up out of the loop, and with a great deal of time on our hands. Whether you're a seasoned west end performer, BAFTA winner, Grammy nominee, or just starting out — the shadow of job insecurity and the question of career progression rarely goes away.
Here at New District, we aim to solve that problem.
And here's the thing, we're not just a film production company.
While our in-house film division does have a slate in development, we are so much more than that. From our community forum, to in-house masterclasses spanning scriptwriting, music production and acting performance — we aim to connect and evolve hardworking industry talent in ways never before seen.
We stand for betterment and improvement for the artist, by the artist.

Fridge
Written by Louis Martino
Status: Pre-production
A young detective investigates a hit-and-run outside a nightclub during a surge of violent crime in early 2000's Brixton. When the system gets in her way, she breaks protocol in pursuit of a confession — only to find herself tangled in a web of truth, guilt, and coercion.
Fridge peels back the curtain on an era where institutional corruption and abuse of power thrived in the shadows — shielded by paperwork and procedure. The story bridges the gap between this hidden rot, and the open dysfunction we see today, where systems still fail the people they're meant to serve, only now those in charge have stopped pretending.
Fridge exposes the roots of a problem we're only now fully seeing — a reminder that truth and justice have long been misaligned. The difference is simple: they used to hide it better.
